"Huwag Kang Matatakot na Sumubok"- Reymar Peña Shares His Voice Acting Journey

Aspiring voice artists often begin with a simple love for cartoons, characters, and the fun of imitating voices. For Reymar Peña, that early interest became the foundation of a journey shaped by patience, sacrifice, and persistence.

In his interview with TagaDubb TV, Reymar looked back on how his passion for voice acting started during his younger years. As a self-described ’90s kid, he grew up watching cartoons, drawing the characters he loved, and later trying to imitate their voices. What began as a hobby slowly developed into a skill he carried with him through high school, college, and eventually into adulthood.

Reymar shared that before fully stepping into the voice acting field, he spent years working as a medical representative. During that period, his dream of becoming a voice artist had to take a back seat. Still, the passion remained alive.

His turning point came when he discovered Creative Voices Production, which he had already admired years earlier while searching online for voice acting workshops. The opportunity he had been waiting for finally came through a free workshop opened by Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales. Reymar did not let the moment pass.

From there, he immersed himself in the craft and embraced the training, discipline, and mindset needed in voice artistry. He recalled that the journey was not easy. Financial struggles, limited resources, and the uncertainty brought by the pandemic became major challenges. But instead of giving up, he continued pushing forward.

Today, Reymar serves as a dubbing director, voice artist, content creator, and former radio station manager. In the interview, he credited much of his growth to the guidance of mentors, the support of his team, and the opportunities opened to him through Creative Voices Production.

More than talking about his own success, Reymar also spoke about the kind of voice acting industry he hopes to see in the future one built on tulungan, bigayan, and shared growth. For him, the goal is not only to improve as an artist, but also to help more aspiring voice talents gain access to training, workshops, and opportunities.

He also offered a message to those who are still hesitant to pursue their dreams: keep trying, keep learning, and do not let fear stop you.

His story is a reminder that every voice artist starts from somewhere, and that passion grows stronger when matched with action, humility, and perseverance.
