From Pampanga to the Microphone: The Inspiring Journey of Jay Jay De Los Santos
Jay Jay De Los Santos, proudly stepping into the world of voice acting as ‘Energy Voice,’ proving that dreams can rise above life’s hardships
Dreams often begin in the simplest of places—watching cartoons, listening to radio dramas, or mimicking voices heard on TV. For Jay Jay De Los Santos of Masantol, Pampanga, those childhood fascinations grew into a lifelong passion for voice acting.
Raised in a humble household, Jay Jay's journey was far from easy. Life’s hardships, including the tragic loss of his father in 2017, tested his resilience. With his father gone—the family’s provider—JayJay felt the weight of responsibility. Yet instead of surrendering to despair, he chose to fight for his dream, determined to help his family and prove to other children that no obstacle should stop them from reaching their goals.
That dream took a pivotal turn when JayJay discovered the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) led by Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales. Through a TikTok video, he was chosen as a scholar—a surprise that filled him with gratitude and disbelief. For a month, he trained under Creative Voices Productions, learning not only the technical skills of dubbing but also the discipline and confidence needed to thrive in the industry.
JayJay describes CVAP as more than just training—it became a family. Surrounded by mentors and peers, he found encouragement, belonging, and even a father figure in Sir Pocholo. “Because of you, Voice Master, I learned how to boost my confidence. How it’s okay to be different. No matter what your situation in life, you need to stick to your dream.”
Today, JayJay proudly calls himself “Energy Voice,” embracing his identity as a voice artist. His story is a testament to perseverance: that even in the face of tragedy and financial struggles, passion and determination can carve a path toward success.
For aspiring voice artists, JayJay's journey is a reminder that opportunities often come when least expected, and that the true power of voice lies not just in performance, but in inspiring others to believe in their own dreams.
